Forms of Freedom (Ensemble)

Forms of Freedom was a collaborative research project that explored how Black and Indigenous creative collectives evolve to sustain themselves over time. The project was organized by Emery Petchauer and Ruth Nicole Brown, and was funded by the Spencer Foundation. It produced the People’s Sound Studio in addition to visual, performance, and sonic work freely available on our Bandcamp page. The archived project page with full description exists here, and a post project conversation between Emery and Ruth Nicole, With Reverence: An Actuality of Collective Formation, can be found here. The totality of movement, creativity, and artifacts live in our ensemble, frozen in digital space for your inspiration and exploration.
